Exhale, a brief note to myself that I have noticed I am holding my breathe. Figuratively and literally. Thank you for expanding on your own process, Vicki. I especially resonate with point 1, this stage being prime for creativity.
I have been using Circles of Control, Influence, and Concern (Covey) to frame my responses and shift into something more productive than reacting. And thinking of my own values of authenticity, integrity, and kindness as I choose my responses and actions.
wonderful additions. Control, Influence and Concern is a useful framework. When I was younger, like 7 years ago, before I accepted we were in times of collapsing systems and ecosystems, I mistook my areas of concern as areas of influence and sometimes even control. I had some intermittent reinforcement - like 1.5 million copies of Your Money or Your Life out there in the world - so I thought I could repeat that. This is part of coming of aging as well, isn't it?
I've been reeling from all this week too, the shock waves are very clear across the Atlantic too. And I've felt unusually 'down' about the state of the world. But I will stick to my 'last' too, which is to remember that there is goodness and beauty and truth in the world too, and to do my best to bring those people together in community and to support each other. That endings are always hard, including the endings of civilisation. And that apocalypse doesn't mean 'the end of the world', it means that 'all is revealed'... The shadow of modernity is revealed now...
Thank you for your calm, encouraging voice Vicki. I posted an essay today, sharing my thoughts on the underlying reason for the current political landscape, globally. It’s helpful to “find others” as you say, the powers that be want to make us feel alone, but we are not.
"Hard times are the best times to write." This rings so true. YES! Love this. Let's turn lemons into lemonade!

Thanks, Vicki. All excellent reminders for steadying ourselves on these rocky seas!
The Noahide Laws will straighten us all out if morality is all we need.
and those laws are...?
the same as Universal Laws...the ones we all can agree on.
Well done. My sentiments also
I feel the same! Thank you for compiling information.
